For a lot of families, "getting better" starts long before the first session - it starts with whether you can even get in the door.
This National Wellness Month, we're thinking about the parts of wellness that don't make it onto anyone's checklist: a phone call that gets answered. An appointment that doesn't take three months to land. A team that treats your timeline like it matters.
That's the piece we've built our practice around. Because care you can't reach isn't really care at all - it's just a waitlist with good intentions.
We're here when you're ready. 💙

🌿 August is National Wellness Month 💙
Wellness isn't about being perfect. It's about making small, intentional choices that support your physical, mental, and emotional well-being.
This month, challenge yourself to prioritize one healthy habit:
💙 Take a daily walk.
💙 Get a little extra sleep.
💙 Practice mindfulness.
💙 Spend time with people who lift you up.
💙 Ask for help when you need it.
Remember, caring for your mental health is just as important as caring for your physical health. Every small step counts, and progress is built one healthy choice at a time.
Here's to a month of growth, balance, and taking care of ourselves (you deserve it). 🌿

We were honored to be invited by the Stuart Martin Chamber of Commerce to a meet-and-greet with Juan Awad, Market Leader for Palm Beach and Treasure Coast, and Ivy Patron, Senior Director of Regional Business Development, from Florida Blue.
As one of the region’s largest health insurance providers, Florida Blue plays an important role in access to care. This meeting was a valuable opportunity to connect healthcare providers, insurance leaders, and our local business community to discuss how we can better serve the people of Martin County and the surrounding regions.
While there is still work ahead, meaningful change begins with conversation. Sitting down together, listening, and building relationships is the first step toward improving access to quality healthcare in our community.
Thank you to the Stuart Martin Chamber of Commerce for bringing local leaders and change agents together. Thank you to Juan and Ivy for your time and your compassion; it speaks volumes! We look forward to continuing these conversations and collaborating for a healthier future! ... See MoreSee Less
🩵 Happy International Self-Care Day! 🌊
Self-care doesn't always have to be a vacation, a spa day, or hours of free time. Sometimes it's as simple as taking a few intentional moments to pause, breathe, and reset.
Today, we invite you to take a minute for yourself. Put on your headphones, listen to the calming ocean waves, and follow along with this guided breathing exercise. Even one minute of mindful breathing can help reduce stress, quiet your mind, and bring you back to the present moment.
Remember: You can't pour from an empty cup. Taking care of your mental health isn't a luxury- it's an important part of your overall well-being.
Take a deep breath in... 🌊
And slowly let it go. 💙

If you've been wondering whether your child may have autism but the cost, distance, or waiting list has kept you from getting answers, this program was created for families like yours. ❤️
Through the Florida Elks Children's Therapy Services and Florida State Elks Association, eligible children under 18 can receive a FREE comprehensive autism evaluation- regardless of where they live in Florida.
To help remove barriers to care, eligible families may also receive:
🏡 Complimentary overnight accommodations at the Florida Elks Youth Camp
🍽️ Meals during your stay
👩⚕️ Additional time with our clinical team, who stay on-site to answer questions and provide guidance throughout the experience
Much like nationally recognized charitable programs that help families travel for specialized medical care, this program is designed to ensure that distance and financial challenges don't stand in the way of a child receiving answers.
Every child deserves access to medically necessary care- and every family deserves support along the way.

💙 Florida's New Blue Envelope Program 💙
Florida's new Blue Envelope Program is designed to help make interactions with law enforcement safer and less stressful for individuals with autism.
The blue envelope can hold important documents, emergency contact information, and communication preferences. It also lets law enforcement know the individual has autism and provides helpful communication tips to encourage calmer, more supportive interactions.
The new law also expands autism-specific training for law enforcement officers across Florida! An important step toward greater understanding, safety, and inclusion.
We're encouraged to see initiatives like this that help build stronger relationships between our autism community and first responders. 💙

The world of autism services is changing...and so are we.
Across the country, families are feeling the effects of increasing insurance denials, stricter authorization requirements, and the fallout from fraud that has impacted the ABA industry. While there are many outstanding, ethical ABA providers doing incredible work, the current landscape has made it more difficult for families to access consistent care.
Rather than allowing these challenges to limit how we serve our community, we're adapting.
At Adult and Pediatric Institute, we're expanding our focus on behavioral therapy and play therapy to give children and families another evidence-based option for building emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, confidence, and healthy relationships.
This isn't about replacing one approach with another. It's about meeting families where they are and ensuring they continue to have access to high-quality care, even as the healthcare landscape evolves.
We'll continue collaborating with trusted ABA providers, advocating for insurance reform, and supporting every child with the approach that best fits their individual needs.
The field is changing. Our mission isn't.
We're committed to finding new ways to provide hope, healing, and support for every family who walks through our doors. 💙 ... See MoreSee Less
You know that feeling: waiting weeks for an appointment, getting rushed through your visit, calling and calling just to hear back from someone.
It shouldn't be this hard to get the care you need.
At Adult and Pediatric Institute, our concierge psychiatry program was built for real life. That means same-week scheduling, visits that don't feel rushed, secure messaging so you're not stuck waiting on a callback, and a plan made for you, not whatever your insurance will approve.
Because you deserve to be heard, not just scheduled.
