ABA Therapy

At Adult and Pediatric Institute, we don’t just provide ABA therapy—we provide a team, a plan, and a pathway to hope and healing.

One Place for Hope and Healing

At the Adult and Pediatric Institute, we believe every individual deserves care that is as unique as they are. That’s why our Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is designed to meet each client where they are—not with a one-size-fits-all plan, but with a personalized roadmap to progress.

A Collaborative Approach to ABA Therapy

We know that meaningful outcomes happen when families, therapists, and other care providers work together. Our ABA therapy team partners closely with parents, caregivers, teachers, and medical professionals to ensure every plan is holistic, practical, and aligned with real-life goals. Collaboration is not just a value—it’s the cornerstone of how we help clients thrive.

No Waitlist—Care When You Need It

We understand that when a family is ready to begin ABA therapy, waiting months for services can feel overwhelming. That’s why API offers no waitlist for ABA therapy—so your child or loved one can start receiving the support they need without unnecessary delays. Early access to services makes a powerful difference, and we’re here to help right away.

Tailored, Not Cookie Cutter

No two clients are the same, and their treatment plans shouldn’t be either. Our Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) take the time to get to know each client’s strengths, challenges, and goals before creating a plan. Whether working on communication, daily living skills, social interactions, or reducing challenging behaviors, our team ensures every plan is customized to empower progress and build confidence.

Integrated Care Under One Roof

As the first organization to fully merge mental and behavioral health under one roof, the Adult and Pediatric Institute offers a truly comprehensive approach. Families in our ABA program benefit from seamless access to psychiatric care, counseling, medication management, and other therapeutic supports—creating a continuum of care that sets our clients up for lasting success.

Frequently Asked Questions About ABA Therapy

What is ABA Therapy?

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy is a research-based approach that helps individuals build communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing behaviors that may interfere with learning and independence.

Who can benefit from ABA therapy?

ABA therapy is most commonly used to support children with autism spectrum disorder, but it can also be helpful for individuals with ADHD, developmental delays, or behavioral challenges. At API, we tailor each plan to meet the unique needs of the client, regardless of diagnosis.

Do you have a waitlist?

No. At API, we know time matters. That’s why we offer no waitlist for ABA therapy so your family can begin services right away.

Where do sessions take place?

We provide in-home, in-clinic, in-school, and in-community therapy to meet families where they feel most comfortable. In early 2026, we’ll also expand services at our new St. Lucie West clinic.

How often will therapy occur?

The frequency of therapy depends on the client’s needs and goals. Some may benefit from several hours of therapy each week, while others may require more intensive support. Our team will work with you to design the right schedule.

Who provides ABA therapy?

ABA services are overseen by Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs) and delivered by Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs). Our team brings both professional expertise and personal warmth to every session.

Is ABA therapy covered by insurance?

Yes. API accepts several major insurances for ABA therapy, and we also work with families to explore other funding options, including scholarships such as Step Up for Students to cover out of pocket expenses.

Can ABA therapy be combined with other services at API?

Absolutely. One of the unique benefits of choosing API is our integrated care model. Families can access psychiatric care, counseling, evaluations, and medication management all under one roof—creating a seamless path for hope and healing.
