Adult and Pediatric Institute Foundation

The Adult and Pediatric Institute Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to providing comprehensive psychiatric services to individuals of all ages—regardless of their ability to pay. Through the generosity of donors and community partners, we help individuals and families access care faster, reducing wait times and removing financial barriers. Eligible families may qualify for a full Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluation (CDE) for Autism at no cost. Scroll to learn more about our Autism Evaluations and how we can support your family.

What is a CDE?

  • A detailed evaluation to determine if a child meets criteria for an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) diagnosis

  • Uses standardized tools (such as the ADOS-2, Vineland-3, and SRS-2) and observations to evaluate communication, social, and behavioral skills

  • medical evaluation (not just educational) that can be used to access medical and school-based services

  • Provides clear recommendations and next steps for therapy, school support, and services

Want to join us in changing lives?

We believe that individuals with special needs should not have to sit on waitlists to receive help. These waitlists can run as long as 2 years in some areas. Meanwhile, these families cannot access life-changing services until this evaluation is completed. This delay results in more time off from work because caregivers cannot find an appropriate childcare or school setting that meets their needs. This also leads to frustration in the classroom for educators because the child cannot get services to help them without the evaluation being completed. These waitlists, and lack of access to services, do not discriminate on race or gender and affect hundreds (possibly thousands) of kids in our state.

100% of the Foundation dollars go to help kids and families in our area get access to life-changing resources. The Adult and Pediatric Institute provides these services because it is our way of making a difference.

A small donation can go a long way toward helping a special-needs individuals get the care they deserve!
